I think (from reading your blog) that the most important tool back then was the chisel. It helped build the pyramids, and helped build other things. But the pyramids were most important back then so the Egyptians probably used it alot.
I think the shadoof was important b/c if the Egyptians didn't have water, they would of all ready been dead!
I agree with Alex the shadoof was important to them because if there was no water to drink there would probally be no Egypt
